James is the President of Rosenblatt Law Firm and Chair for the transactional side of the firm. He brings with him 27 years of experience in business law and strategic planning. Before founding Rosenblatt Law Firm, James worked as an associate for Davidson & Troilio, a regional law firm, where he worked on environmental, government, corporate, real estate and litigation work. He worked nationally as an associate for Akin Gump focusing on general Corporate Practice and associated securities, mergers, and related work. Before RLF, he worked as in-house general counsel for an international construction company, aiding in strategic planning, managing all legal issues, acquiring multiple offices across the country and Canada, directing human resources, and actively participating in financial planning, human resource, accounting, and risk management.

James graduated from Wesleyan University with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Emory University with a Juris Doctorate, and the University of the Incarnate Word with a Master of Business Administration with honors. Over the years James has continued to stay active in the business community by Teaching MBA and Law courses at Texas A&M University, Kingsville (San Antonio Campus) and University of the Incarnate Word. He has held board positions on homeowners’ associations, development boards, leadership advisement organizations, and many other community engagement boards.

While James can most often be described as self-amused, he strives to be seen as a good listener, problem solver, and counselor. One of his most significant accomplishments is that Rosenblatt Law Firm still has many of its initial clients from 15 years ago when the firm opened, and these clients continue to be sources of referral today.

Jenn joined Rosenblatt Law Firm in 2019 as a Partner and head of the Litigation section.  Jenn brings experience as a prominent attorney in Bexar County, including a wealth of litigation and appellate knowledge.

After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, Jenn graduated from Emory University School of Law in 1993 where she was honored with the Public Service Award for Student Legal Services.  After law school, Jenn worked at the 81st/218th Judicial District Attorney’s Office as the sole felony prosecutor in Atascosa County, gaining skills through extensive pretrial matters, trial experience, and appellate briefing and argument.  Jenn later worked in civil litigation at both insurance defense and plaintiffs’ firms, including as part of the legal team which received a top 100 jury verdict in 2003.  

Before working with Rosenblatt law firm, Jenn worked over fourteen years as a staff attorney at the Fourth Court of Appeals. At the Fourth Court, Jenn considers herself lucky to have worked with some incredible judges, amazing staff, and too many interns to count.  Along with actively practicing law, Jenn taught Legal Research and Writing as an adjunct professor for St. Mary’s University of Law for over five years—she continues to maintain many of those relationships to this day.   

Jenn is the proud mom of three “grown” kids and is an avid participant in various community activities.  She chaired the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association gala in 2002 and returned in 2017 to co-chair the silent auction and head the Autumn Affair, for the second time, in 2018.  Having sat on several different community boards, Jenn’s focus generally remains on education and health issues.

Jenn loves to bake, get lost in her art, travel, and spend time with her family. Her motto is “If not today, when?”

Molly is a senior associate who works with small business owners to assist them in starting, expanding, operating, and selling their businesses.  After practicing business litigation at the start of her law practice, Molly wanted to work with business owners to help them avoid litigation by advising them in the many large and small decisions business owners face. Molly supports business owners on matters of real estate, contracts, sales and use tax, and employee matters, in addition to her work with corporate mergers and acquisitions.  Since Molly joined Rosenblatt Law Firm in 2014 she has assisted in over $77 million in mergers and acquisitions.  Molly understands each business is unique and works with each client to assure they receive the best advice possible.  In addition to her business clients, Molly guides clients through the often daunting process of creating an estate plan that meets their specific needs.  Just as every business is different, each person has distinct wants and concerns when it comes to an estate plan.  Molly enjoys the peace of mind her clients receive after completing their estate plans. 

After graduating from undergrad, and before attending law school, Molly spent two years as the Director of Policy for the National Coalition for the Homeless. During law school, Molly worked in the Immigration Clinic at the Community Justice Center, was a staff writer for the St. Mary’s Law Journal, and interned for the Honorable Judge Edward C. Prado United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. 

In her free time, Molly stays involved in the community through non-profit and political organizations working to improve the lives of San Antonians.  She relaxes with podcasts, reading and by playing with her two dogs.

Mary Lisa began her years of higher education studying philosophy at Baylor. She credits this foundation for her interest and tactical views at problem-solving. Following undergrad, Mary Lisa attended law school at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas on a full Regent’s Scholarship. During law school, she was an Articles Editor on the Administrative Law Journal and president of the Student Public Interest Initiative, an organization which helped raise money for law students to work in public interest and legal aid.  Mary Lisa worked as a student attorney in the Family Law Clinic representing clients in family and social security matters.  Also, she interned with Disability Rights Texas and several private firms.

At Rosenblatt Law Firm Mary Lisa predominantly handles transactional matters. Her expertise is in drafting individual contracts tailored to her client’s needs. In particular, Mary Lisa frequently works on the transactional side of employment matters–making sure her clients are hiring, firing, and maintaining employees in order to protect their assets and minimize litigation.

Outside of work, Mary Lisa continues her passion for community involvement by volunteering with the Rotary Club of San Antonio and Snack Pak 4 Kids, a program dedicated to ending weekend hunger for kids in need, at a local elementary school. She also enjoys spending time with her son and husband.

Nick graduated from The University of Texas School of Law in 2014. While in business school at University of Texas, he worked with the Internal Revenue Service, assisting agents in the area of employment tax. While in law school, Nick interned for the Sixth Court of Appeals and ExxonMobil. Following law school graduation, Nick began his career representing businesses, associations, and individuals before government agencies, Federal Bankruptcy Courts, and Texas state courts.

In 2018, Nick joined the litigation section of Rosenblatt Law Firm. Nick utilizes his strategic exposure to tax and bankruptcy matters to assist with business litigation disputes. Nick also strives to bring his clients’ attention to any possible exposure they might have in a business deal. His Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting allows Nick added insights when reviewing financial matters for clients.

Nick is a huge Longhorn football and Spurs basketball fan and is the recruiting chair for the Alamo City Rugby Club. In his free time, he likes to be outdoors, whether he is hiking, gardening, or skiing.

Jeffrey Bryson found the perfect field of expertise that marries his love of numbers and rules: tax law. Dedicated to education, Jeffrey earned his Master of Laws Degree in Taxation and Certificate in Employee Benefits Law at Georgetown University Law Center and his Law Degree at South Texas College of Law Houston in consecutive years, and even passed the CPA and Bar exams on his first attempt. Today he continues his professional development with memberships in the State Bar of Texas, Washington, D.C. Bar Association, and the San Antonio Estate Planners Council.

 Jeffrey joined Rosenblatt Law Firm in 2019 as an associate attorney for the Transactional side of the firm. Jeffrey brings to the firm over 15 years of experience in ERISA, Executive Compensation, Estate Planning, and Tax Law. Of paramount importance is delivering quality legal services to clients and surpassing their expectations.

Though his areas of expertise may seem dry, Jeffrey has a dynamic personality and is considered a faith and family-oriented man who doesn’t take himself too seriously. His personal motto is “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” He loves a good laugh, time spent at the barbecue grill, and coaching a local youth soccer league. His interests are varied, including Bible Study Fellowship, saltwater fishing; he loves photography, even offering professional services for family holiday portraits.

Jeffrey looks to his grandfather, Rear Admiral William C. Bryson, as an inspiration. Jeffrey states that Rear Admiral Bryson was a “genius and a gentleman,” a lifetime Naval officer, and Commander of the USS Iowa in 1954 and 1955. He models his grandfather’s dedication, drive, leadership in helping others advance and compassion for people in his own career, and has developed his own unique blend of clear communication, love of people, and genuine desire to help families ready to ensure their children are well cared for in the event of an unexpected tragedy.

Alejandra has previous legal experience in business law and litigation and will expand her real estate knowledge into complementary areas, focusing her talents in business law and contracts. She is currently a member of the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association and the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association.  Alejandra is striving to quickly earn her place in the ranks of the elite attorneys. After graduating law school, Chessa was a senior associate at Hightower & Partners in Miami, Florida before returning to practice law in Texas.

At Rosenblatt Law Firm, Chessa predominantly handles litigation and real estate matters, striving to help clients achieve a resolution when they feel out of options. The achievement, Chessa considers most significant with the firm, was a defense verdict for a small, local restaurant tenant whose landlord sought an eviction and damages.

Chessa and her husband, Scott, have four children.  When she is not working, Chessa enjoys spending time with her family, running, cooking, and photography.  She is surprisingly good at gardening.

Nicole brings 15 years of commercial and civil litigation experience in state and federal court, as well as various administrative proceedings, to Rosenblatt Law Firm. Her vast litigation experience includes representing clients in disputes involving breach of contract, premises liability, deceptive trade practices, wage and hour, sexual harassment, fraud, construction defects, and professional liability matters. Nicole has defended business owners in numerous fatality cases and other catastrophic loss cases, and when necessary, negotiated high-value settlements that limit unnecessary client exposure.

Nicole is active in local bar associations, President-elect for the Bexar County Women’s Bar, and has been a featured speaker at numerous CLE events discussing the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct.

Nicole graduated from St. Mary’s Law School in 2005. While in law school Nicole was the President of the Phi Delta Phi legal honor society, member of the International Jessup Moot Court Team and research assistant for the Center for Terrorism Law.

Before joining the Rosenblatt Law Firm, Carrie received her Paralegal Certification from the University of Colorado in 2009 and worked as a paralegal for several private practices. As Office Manager, Carrie makes sure the firm runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. One thing Carrie loves about her job is being able to talk to clients and getting to know them. In her spare time, Carrie enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, spending time with family, and raising her backyard chickens.

Before joining the Rosenblatt Law Firm in 2019 as a legal assistant to the transactional section, Laura spent twelve years as a legal assistant. Her personal motto of “Be good. Do good.” expounds on Laura’s work goals of being helpful, hard-working, and attentive to details. Laura obtained a Bachelor’s of Science from UTSA, and when she is not at work, she spends time with family, sewing, and feeds her obsession for all things Harry Potter.

Leigh Ann Qualia joined Rosenblatt Law Firm in 2019 as a legal assistant with the transactional section. One of San Antonio’s own daughters, Leigh Ann spent 12 years developing tomorrow’s leaders in public and private middle school classrooms. Leigh Ann graduated in 2010 from UTSA with her Paralegal certification and brings nine years of experience in estate planning, probate, business formation, and tax laws to our firm.

Iliana brings over 15 years of administrative support experience to her role at Rosenblatt Law Firm. She provides administrative support for our office manager, Carrie Flowers. Iliana’s friends and family describe her as kind, adventurous, big-hearted, open-minded and determined. In her spare time, Iliana enjoys traveling, reading, swimming and baking. Her personal motto is “Change is inevitable, progression is a choice.”
